Maria Bamford’s new special, Old Baby, hits Netflix on May 2nd, and like Bamford herself, it’s far from conventional.
Never one to make things comfortable for herself, Bamford taped her last hour, The Special Special Special, in her parents’ home, with her mom and dad as her only audience members. Old Baby is about as opposite as possible — she taped this one in dozens of venues, in front of hundreds of strangers, everywhere from people’s homes and yards to clubs and bowling alleys. Sounds absolutely perfect!
