Jamie Pressly’s New TV Land comedy, “Jennifer Falls” premieres tonight

June 4, 2014      Danielle Bruno      News, Television

Jennifer FallsTV Land’s newest comedy, Jennifer Falls starring Jaime Pressly, premieres Tonight at 10:30. Pressly, the My Name Is Earl vet, explained that she got the script from Malcolm In the Middle creator Mathew Carlson and loved it. Apparently the cable comedy’s team felt the same way about Pressly and not long after her discovery of the script she was cast in the pilot. Jaime’s character Jennifer in the show is a stressed out single mom seeking a career. The show follows Jennifer, a strong, successful, Type A personality  who loses her job out of nowhere and has to move back in with her mother. Hilariously the show has Jennifer turn to her less successful brother for help who decides to hire her as a bartender in a sports bar and the entertainment ensues. Jennifer also is forced to raise her teenage daughter without a nanny or any other type of help. Who knows what types of lessons this show has in store for us. Pressly did have to lay down the law with TV Land because she couldn’t work long shifts due to the fact that she has a seven year old son named Dezi to take care of at home. Turns out Pressly knows exactly how it feels to be a hard working mom in real life as well as on TV and TV Land eventually agreed to shoot the series with three cameras running at all times and one-on-one type interviews which makes the actresses schedule manageable.

Pressly tells TV Line that “The hardest thing to do is to find balance for a working mother… This came along at the perfect time.”
