In 2012, Jerry Seinfeld debuted a new series on Crackle that was an excuse for him to talk to some old friends.
The series was Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. On the show, he has welcomed everyone from
Eddie Murphy, Jerry Lewis, David Letterman, Howard Stern, Ellen DeGeneres, Jim Carrey, Norm MacDonald, Lorne Michaels, Sarah Silverman, Bill Burr, Seth Rogen, and beyond.
Now, Seinfeld announced yesterday that series is becoming a book.
“The first episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee went online ten years ago — on our own website, without any press or promotion,” Seinfeld wrote on Instagram. “Just me and Larry David having a funny conversation. We called it a web series because nobody knew what streaming television was. Ten years later, we have produced 84 episodes and we’re on Netflix. It’s a crazy story, and this book seems like a good way to tell it, along with some of my favorite photos and dialogue from the show. The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Book is out November 22nd.”
The book is available for pre-order here.
