For years, fans have been waiting for the day that Jerry Seinfeld would maybe change his mind and do a Seinfeld reunion. Yes, there was one on Curb Your Enthusiasm that worked quite well. But outside of that, there hasn’t been any other big official reunions since the show went off the air. And as of yesterday, fans still shouldn’t hold their breath. According to the comedian, there’s “absolutely nothing going on” in terms of a revisit.
“I am very much a nostalgia person,. I love to go to my house where I grew up on Long Island,” he apparently told reporters at Citi Field yesterday when asked about the subject. “It’s one of the reasons I love the Mets because I loved it when I was a kid, and it makes me think back to that time. But I like to go forward in life. I believe that going forward. I don’t know what we would do that would be good.”
So there you have it. The man himself has spoken. Guess we’ll just have to settle for the 9 seasons of 90’s nostalgia currently streaming on Netflix.
