Jesse Heiman is probably the world’s most popular sitcom and movie extra

It was Super Bowl Sunday when every nerd in America was given one very strong message “anything is possible.” It was February 3rd, when GoDaddy released a (for some reason) controversial commercial, “Perfect Match.” Long story short, the camera zooms awkwardly close in on a supermodel Bar Refaeli making out with a nerdy looking guy.
Now, I say controversial not because of any huge slam or questionable remarks but because many people for some reason found the ad of two people kissing plain old disgusting. On the other side, I’m sure the nerds of the world loved it! Getting to cheer one of their fellow geeks to live the moment they’ve all dreamed about. Yeah, in some ways this is a true ‘feel good’ story. Until you find out this nerd, otherwise known as Jesse Heiman. Or as you could call him… the world’s greatest extra, a movie star in nerd camouflage perhaps.
To give some background on Heiman, after graduating from Texas State University in 2000 he moved out to the city of angels and began a acting career. As with most do, he started with commercials and roles as an extra. Then, well Heiman continued to be an extra starring in more than 65 TV shows and movies as the guy in the crowd. Yup, he’s probably become the most popular extra ever.
What sitcoms and movies have you seen Heiman in you ask? to name just a few he’s been in American Pie 2, Old School, My Name is Earl, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, Glee, Entourage, The Social Network, Reno 911, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Chuck, and The Big Bang Theory. A glance over his IMDB page reveals all the credits of the 34 year old actor.
Now to bookworms reading this, don’t be discouraged. Although what seemed to be your savior was actually a wolf in a dweeb’s clothing, there is still hope. Clearly Bar Refaeli was willing to make out with a simple guy like Heiman. And it sometimes only takes one to make others see you in a different light. Above all else though, be proud of your nerd ways, stand tall in your video game and computer knowledge. For, you see my friends, someday it will be the popular kid working for you, and dreaming about your supermodel girlfriend.
