“So you’re saying there’s a chance.”

Last night, Jim Carrey appeared on Light’s Out w/David Spade to promote Sonic the Hedgehog. While on the show, Spade presented him with questions from the internet. One of these questions was, “Would you ever do an hour stand-up special like Chapelle or Eddie Murphy might do?” And his response, while not overly enthusiastic, also didn’t put the kibosh on the idea.

“Anything’s possible,” he replied. “Shows like yours are honestly a chance for me to have the contact, that feeling of like a club. There is something about that that’s just part of your blood. And I am able to come up with material at a furious pace if I get going in one of my fugue states.”

One of the problems, pointed out, is that if he were to go onstage again, it would go viral immediately. Regardless, the mere idea of Jim Carrey possibly going onstage again is enough to get us excited.
