Jim Florentine set to release “I’m Your Saviour” this April

On April Fool’s day 2016, comedian Jim Florentine will be releasing his latest effort, I’m Your Saviour. Here’s a note from Florentine himself in regards to his new album:
I started writing this show in early 2007 after a recent tragedy I went through. It took me 2 years to complete and I started working the show out in small theaters around the country. It’s basically the story of my life and how I always wound up with troubled women. It was excruciating for me to perform this show because it brought up a ton of pain in my life from the past. I was mentally exhausted after each performance but I felt like I needed to challenge myself as a performer/comic. I figured I already mastered telling dick jokes so lets do something totally different. {There are still plenty of dick jokes in this show. You have to write about what you know.} This show has been sitting on the shelf the last couple of years because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. I felt like the time to release it is now because the ending of this show about my life has changed dramatically. In other words part 2 of this show is coming soon! I hope everyone can get something out of this show. Thanks, Jim
Jim Florentine is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, comedian, voice artist, and performer, who co-hosted VH1 Classic’s hit heavy metal talk show series That Metal Show alongside Eddie Trunk and now label-mate Don Jamieson. Florentine is best known for his work on Comedy Central’s show Crank Yankers where he performed the voice of Special Ed, a mentally challenged teenager, and Bobby Fletcher, a despicable, alcoholic slob who is the older cousin of Ed. Recently, he opened up the American Carnage Tour for Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer in arenas across the country. Florentine has said, “performing in front of 13,000 Slayer fans every night was insane! It was like emceeing a rape!” As for film work, the comedian has appeared in the feature A Little Help starring Jenna Fischer and Chris O’ Donnell.
Florentine has also been in involved in shows such as HBO’s Inside the NFL, Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Chelsea Lately on E, The Howard Stern Radio & TV Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, MTV Music Video Awards, Spike TV Video Game Awards, HBO’s Down and Dirty Comedy Show, and The Apprentice just to name a few.
