The last few weeks, we have seen a lot of special events happening via zoom. There have been home concerts, reunions, and even an 8 hour comedy fundraiser. And yesterday, another event was announced titled One World: Together at Home.
Lady Gaga, who is organizing the event, went on The Tonight Show, The Late Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! to make the announcement. It is to be a major 2 hour event airing on NBC, CBS, and ABC, as well as various other syndicated basic cable channels. To see all three competing networks working together to broadcast the same event is something highly unusual and seldom happens. But with everything going on, now seems as good a time as any.
The star-studded event includes appearances by the following: Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Stevie Wonder and friends of Sesame Street.
The event goes live on April 18th at 8 P.M. EST. Below you’ll see Gaga announcing the benefit on all three shows.
