The Laugh Button is an entertainment website focused on what’s happening in comedy. Established in 2006 as a outlet to showcase stand-up, it has expanded into a platform that also includes live events, strategic media partnerships, podcasting, and more.

SALESPERSON

Position: A freelance salesperson.

We’re looking for a part-time salesperson interested in selling the network. This job is based on commission with the salesperson earning a percentage of opportunities brought into the network.

JOB DETAILS:

• A self-starter with a history of sales and a network of potential contacts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Will earn a commission from every sale they establish.
• No specific base location required, but must be willing to travel if necessary.
• Highly organized.
• Self motivated with the goal of creating and utilizing contacts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sales across multiple categories of The Laugh Button including, website, video, podcast, and live events.
• Knowledge of how web/banner ad sales operate.
• Ability to contact potential advertisers, and create advertising packages based on their needs.
• Selling of products such as banner ads, newsletter sponsorships, network sponsorships, live sponsorships, web series sponsorships, and more.
• Generate sales marketing tools and overviews for advertisers
• Collaborating with multiple verticals of the company including s, producers, and talent.
• Updating and maintaining a sales calendar.
• Ability to determine what deliverables are needed and articulate this information to staff.
• General understanding of how marketing works.
• Ability to work independently but knows how to collaborate when required.
• Be available for regular meetings (currently by video) to track progress, collaborate on projects, and discuss the job.

BONUS SKILLS:

• Adobe Creative Suite.
