Today, it was announced that Some Good News would be moving from YouTube to CBS All Access. The web series was started by John Krasinski, who in the middle of the global pandemic, decided we needed some positivity in our lives. We definitely did, and he brought us everything from reunions of The Office, the original cast of Hamilton, a prom, and even a wedding. It was some upbeat, feel good entertainment in the middle of hardship.
Now, in addition to the move to CBS All Access, Krasinski will be stepping down as the host, bringing someone else in yet to be determined. Krasinski will be staying on board as a producer, however. And once all episodes stream, it will be also broadcast on one of Viacom’s networks. Which network also hasn’t been announced yet.
Given that the channel has garnered 2 million subscribers and 70 million views in 2 months, this news isn’t totally surprising. We look forward to hearing some good news.
