One of the things that has been trending in the last couple of weeks are virtual graduations for classes of 2020. Some popular faces for these include Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, Oprah, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and many more.
John Malkovich decided he’d get in on it, by serving as a commencement speaker for a (fictional) pre-school on The Late Show. Some of his advice for the graduating class included a reminder to not eat paste, how to use scissors, and to wipe the seat “when you sprinkle when you tinkle”. He then leaves them with a quote from Dangerous Liaisons. Also, all tips in the form of macaroni necklaces can be sent to him via Venmo.
This was a fun bit that reminded us of just how funny John Malkovich is. Also, it feels like sort of a sequel to his Saturday Night Live monologue from 2008, where he read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas to children.
