John Mulaney, Michelle Wolf, and Hasan Minhaj perform stand-up at “Night Of Too Many Stars”

November 20, 2017      Matt      Hasan Minhaj, John Mulaney, Michelle Wolf, Stand-Up

A ton of comedic talent showed up this weekend for Jon Stewart’s Night Of Too Many Stars charity event to raise money for Autism programs. Being a live event there were its share of technical difficulties, and if you want a full rundown on what worked and what didn’t, might we suggest the Vulture recap of the evening. Right now, we want to talk about the stand-up comedy.

The show rolled out three killer stand-up sets by John Mulaney, Michelle Wolf, and Hasan Minhaj. Three killer comics who performed tight fives to keep the evening moving along briskly. Wolf was particularly great as she’s clearly on the rise and HBO putting her on this event as well shows their support for her beyond her stand-up special premiering next weekend. Check out their spots.

First stand-up spot of the night came from John Mulaney, who instantly brings you in with his charms.

Michelle Wolf probably got the most political of the evening (it was a charity after all) yet it was framed as men vs. women.

Finally Hasan Minhaj, who was great, but for some reason video of his stand-up set wasn’t released online. So if you missed it live, you missed it.
