John Mulaney stages an intervention to get Seth Meyers to wear a suit

June 23, 2022      Andrew Buss      John Mulaney, Late Night With Seth Meyers, News

It’s been a year and a half now since Seth Meyers, Nick Kroll, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and a bunch of other funny comedians participated in the not-so-funny situation of having to stage an intervention for John Mulaney. Well last night, Mulaney went on Late Night w/Seth Meyers looking to stage his own intervention.

Mulaney walked out holding a shoe, and announced he was holding an intervention to get Seth Meyers to put on a suit again. “We’re not working from home anymore,” Mulaney told him. “You’re not in an attic in Albany or wherever you go when you’re not here. You’re still dressing like you had a date and didn’t want to wear the same clothes from work, so you stopped at the Gap.” After being confronted, Meyers did indeed put on the suit Mulaney brought out.

They also talked about Mulaney’s first time as a dad on Father’s Day, Mulaney comparing buying baby formula to his drug days, his son going with him on the road, and his upcoming episode of Documentary Now!.
