Today, we learned that Judd Apatow is making the leap to Netflix for his next film.
Apatow, whose last film The King of Staten Island was the first new live-action film to premiere on PVOD during the pandemic, is co-writing a script with Pam Brady. The film, according to Deadline who broke the news, follows group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.
As of right now, there is no cast or crew attached to the project. Meetings and auditions are supposed to be fast-tracked given the timeliness of the subject material and reportedly taking place this week. In addition to this untitled comedy, Apatow is also currently at work on a new documentary about George Carlin.
Whatever this winds up being, we are curious to see what Apatow can do with this!
