Judd Apatow teams with comedian Pete Holmes for HBO show “Crashing”

Comedian Pete Holmes has risen in the ranks through his stellar stand-up and endearingly honest podcast You Made It Weird. He’s been nothing but open about his divorce and that has led to what is now a single-camera comedy pilot directed by comedy mastermind Judd Apatow. Currently being titled Crashing, HBO has given it the green light. Holmes will pen the show which will be semi-autobiographical focusing on his wife leaving him and how he got through it with the help of his fellow comedians. The two have a history, Apatow has appeared on not only Holmes’ podcast, but also his short lived late night talker The Pete Holmes Show. Filming is set to start in the next two months.
