Kenan Thompson teases the potential of a “Good Burger” sequel

Last night on The Tonight Show, Kenan Thompson teased something that 90’s Nickelodeon fans have been waiting for for 25 years now. A sequel to Good Burger.

When Fallon pressed Thompson on the possibility, at first all Thompson said was “I’d like it to.” He then followed up with “We are working on it harder than ever. Because it’s about meeting the numbers.” He then joked that he’d like to see in the sequel Kel Mitchell’s character with a bunch of kids and Thompson’s character getting out of jail for something Mitchell’s character put him in there for.

This follows a statement from his Good Burger co-star Kel Mitchell last month. In an interview, he said “You never know what can happen… the fans really want a sequel… would I do a sequel? Yeah, of course. We love Good Burger.”

So there you have it. It IS possible. And with All That and Kenan and Kel now streaming on Netflix, maybe there’s potential that something could still be done in tue future.
