Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson set to co-star in buddy cop film

And the film credits keep rolling in for Kevin Hart. According to Variety, the comedian will co-star alongside actor and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson for a new buddy cop film. The pair will star in New Line Cinema’s Central Intelligence which will be directed by We’re the Millers’ Rawson Marshall Thurber and produced by Ed Helms.
“The story begins with a class reunion approaching, as a former high school sports star turned accountant (Hart) is contacted by a classmate (Johnson) who was bullied and humiliated back in the day. The “loser” that the accountant remembers is now a CIA contract killer who ropes him into helping foil a plot to sell classified military secrets.”
The film was originally penned by The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stasson, with Sean Anders, John Morris, and finally Thurber taking over later drafts. Production is set to start in spring 2015.
