KP Burke - Escape From Jacksonville

We’re excited to announce the release of our next great stand-up comedy special and this one comes from New Jersey Native, KP Burke.

Burke will drop his debut special, Escape From Jacksonville on Tuesday May 24th which delivers his unique perspective on the world from spending his formative years stationed in Jacksonville, FL. How did he end up there? Well by joining the US Navy because, as he puts it, nobody chooses to live there on purpose.

Burke spent 6 years serving in the Navy while spending is free time trying to make people laugh while on the stage. However, his Jersey roots helped shape his comedy and after he, “escaped from Jacksonville” he made his way back North to the Garden State. It was there where he forged relationships with the NY/NJ comedy scene including the likes of New Jersey’s own, Kevin Smith. Podcasting with Smith’s Smodcast network. So, when it was time for Burke to pick a location to record his debut comedy album, it was a no brainer to christen Smith’s newly-opened Smodcastle in Leonard, NJ. Where, if you are unaware of that location, it’s the strip mall location of the Quick Stop convenience store where Clerks was filmed.

Surf on over to Burke’s landing page or you can check out a preview clip from the album. You can also tune into The Laugh Button’s Youtube page to watch the special premiere on the same day.
