For the last handful of years we’ve grown pretty accustom to the gravelly voice narrating the bumpers and sweepers on the airwaves of Comedy Central. That voice was uncle BBQ himself, Kyle Kinane whose unique timbre always made us smile whether it be him talking about a show on Comedy Central radio or the new season of Broad City or Tosh.0. But all things must come to an end and today on social media Kinane himself announced that he was no longer going to be the voice of Comedy Central.
While Kinane announced that he was going to relinquish the throne, he also stated that another comedian was to take his place and that comedian is none other than David Gbore. An LA-based comedian who is also the co-host of the podcast, All Fantasy Everything with other comedians Ian Karmel and Sean Jordan. If you’d like to get a hint of what Gbore’s voice sounds like check out this video episode of the podcast and you’ll hear that Gbore himself (in the black t-shirt) has a nice husky voice.
At the time of this post, no official press release from the network has been released announcing Gbore but why would Uncle BBQ Kyle Kinane lie to us?
