The Laugh Button is a co-sponsor of RIOT LA Comedy Festival

November 13, 2013      Bram Teitelman      Features, Festivals, News, RIOT LA

RIOT LAComedy fans aren’t going to have to wait very long in 2014 for the first major comedy festival. In fact, about as soon as they shake off their hangovers and get used to writing a ‘4’ instead of a ‘3,’ many of them will be headed to Los Angeles for the second annual RIOT LA Comedy Festival. We’ve previously revealed some details about the fest, taking place January 9th-12th, but we’re extremely excited to announce that The Laugh Button is officially a co-sponsor of the festival!

Taking place at five venues in downtown Los Angeles on Main Street between Third and Second Avenues (The Downtown Independent Theater, Five Star Bar, The Lexington, The Jalisco, and The Smell), over 100 comics will perform at 45 comedy shows at the festival. Adding to the atmosphere will be “the Lot,” an astroturf-covered parking lot with free food, beer, and old school arcade games. And since LA’s KCRW is presenting RIOT LA, you know there will be some cool tunes being spun as well.

There will be live podcast tapings of Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Bang! Bang!, Doug Benson’s Doug Loves Movies. The Sklar Brothers’ Sklarboro Country, Jake Fogelnest’s The Fogelnest Files, and more. There will be an appearance from the cast of IFC’s The Birthday Boys, and appearances from the likes of Jon Benjamin, Doug Benson, Kristen Schaal, Eric Andre, Kyle Kinane, Todd Barry, and tons more.

You can pick up weekend passes for just $85, which is a solid deal for four days of comedy. Head over to their website for details, and we’ll see you there!
