‘Girls’ star Lena Dunham says she might be done with acting

Girls creator and star, Lena Dunham, has just dropped what could be considered a pretty heavy statement. “I don’t know if I’m going to want to act anymore,” Dunham told Glamour. “I’m always relieved on days I don’t have to. I’d rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts.” It’s especially a heck of a note to HBO who signed Girls on for a fourth season before the third one even started. Not to mention she just scored the gig of all gigs, hosting last week’s Saturday Night Live. In other words, while she seems to be on the fence about it, it’s still a pretty big revelation since her career is currently skyrocketing (remember when she won a Golden Globe for acting?).
So, will Dunham give up acting? I’m sure if HBO has anything to say about it she wont be. All we can do for sure is enjoy seasons 3 and 4 of Girls. Seems like anything after that is nothing more than a question mark.
