Dave Smith is having a moment. The NYC comedian’s comedy career is on the rise. First, he holds it down as 1/3 of the wildly popular Legion of Skanks podcast where he’s often the voice of reason and, for our money, provides the best Luis J. Gomez voice. His solo podcast, Part of The Problem where he dispels his Libertarian-leaning politics to an ever-growing audience on a weekly basis.

Yes, Smith is a political comedian and one with well-formed opinions on the subject long before November 8, 2016. He’s guested on political talk shows like Red Eye and Kennedy. Hell, even sat down with his hero Ron Paul on his own talk show. Again, Dave Smith is having his moment.

So, when Dave Smith was ready to tape his first hour special, it was a no-brainer for him to team up with his friend and co-host Luis J. Gomez to tape said special. Gomez is a co-founder of Gas Digital, home of podcasts and, now producers of stand-up comedy specials.
