If there is one comedian who’s albums are worth the money it’s Reggie Watts. Think about it, any other comedian or band will replay their latest tracks ad nauseum. With Reggie however, there is no such thing as “the same set,” because the comedian/vocalist/beat boxer/improviser/musician makes every performance completely original.
It’s for that reason you should pick up Reggie’s new LP Live at Third Man Records (Jack White’s record label, and yes they only sell vinyl’s). Jack and Reggie got acquainted during Conan O’Brien’s Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television tour where Reggie was opening and Jack made a few special appearances. White later invited Reggie to his studio in Nashville to perform a special show that he would record and release for his label.
Reggie will celebrate the release of Live at Third Man Records with two performances at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg this week. The first show sold out so quickly that a second show later that night has been added! Get tickets here!
