Every year in The fall Denis Leary has put on a charitable show, Comics Come Home. It’s a regal affair with the best comedians in the business heading to Boston for a night of stand-up comedy that raises money for The Cam Neely Foundation. This year will be the 21st year of the show, making it legal to drink now (if a festival could drink) and once again, Leary and his team have put together a night with some of the biggest comedians in the business participating. Louis C.K., Lenny Clarke, Chris Distefano, Jimmy Fallon, Christine Hurley, Ray Romano, Steven Wright are scheduled to perform.
All proceeds from this event benefit The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. Since its inception, Comics Come Home has raised nearly $8 million to provide comfort, support and hope to cancer patients and their families. unds raised at this year’s show will help complete a pledge to Tufts Medical Center of $1.5 million to build the Marlene Neely Endoscopy Suite in memory of Cam’s mother who lost her battle with colon cancer. The 2015 Comics Come Home is presented by DCU for Kids and co-sponsored by Raptor.
