Last night Louis C.K., who has been doing a lot of gigs on the road recently, reportedly taped a stand-up special in Washington D.C.
This news broke yesterday on a LCK thread on Reddit when a user (WinstonsVictoryGin) posted that he heard from a friend in attendance at the show a camera crew was “there and he was filming his special.” Others on the message board cimed in to confirm this, adding that they had interviewed audience members for a potential opening segment and that C.K. was “the best I’ve ever seen him” and seemed “super happy.”
This information hasn’t been confirmed by the comedian himself but eyewitnesses seem to corroborate the claims via a message board.
This would mark Louis C.K.’s first special since Netflix’s 2017 and since the New York Times article was released that accused the comedian of inappropriate sexual behavior with women which the comedian later admitted to. Given how he had released specials independently in the past via his website, it is quite possible that Louis C.K. could go that way once again with upcoming material, though no official announcement has been made.
