Remember a few months back when an Islamic fundamentalist threatened Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park? This came from their anger about how the show projected the image of Prophet Muhammad.
Well, that guy is now in jail. The FBI arrested Zachary Chesser, a 20 year old man from Virginia who’s being charged with with providing material support a Somali terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda. Chesser allegedly posted a message on a radical Islamic website warning South Park creators they will “probably end up like” a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered for presenting a negative portrayal of the Islamic faith.
Chesser was stopped while attempting to board a plane in New York City after being placed on a no-fly list. Reports also state Chesser converted to Islam and planned on traveling overseas to devote to Jihad and he had a falling out with his parents since his internet threats toward the South Park creators.
This leaves us wondering one thing…when they Feds busted down this guy’s doors were they screaming “respect my authoritaaaaay!”?
