The last few years, we’ve seen Marc Maron transitioning to working more and more steadily as an actor. And as we’ve seen in G.L.O.W., as well as the upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic, Maron seems to work pretty damn well as an actor in period pieces. And furthering that theory is the trailer for the upcoming David Bowie biopic, Stardust.
In the trailer, we see Maron playing Ron Oberman, who was his publicist from Mercury Records. In the trailer, we see Maron doing his best to help Bowie, who was a complete unknown here, transition to the U.S. from England and become the household name that we now know him as. One of the standout scenes in the trailer is Maron booking him on a family radio station to promote his new album. And things go… basically as you’d expect with that era of David Bowie.
Stardust, which is produced by IFC Films, comes out in theaters and on VOD on November 25th.
