Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast added to Public Radio

The cult of Maron grows larger…
Marc Maron’s popular podcast WTF will now be a part of the public radio landscape. The Sound Of Young America broke the news that they’ve been working on the project for the last six months. Both TSOYA’s Jesse Thorn and editor Nick White and Maron, took the podcasts, edited them down to what they describe as, “ten hours of exceptionally compelling radio.” Choosing the best stories and best guest moments from the podcast so far. These ten shows (an hour apiece) are then going to be made available for public radio affiliates they hope to air in the summer and early fall across the country.
They are keeping the name WTF, at the insistence by NPR’s Torey Malatia and Ira Glass, and are locking in station commitments as I write this.
If you are interested in hearing the new result, you can check them all out on PRX including the infamous Carlos Mencia episode in which Maron confronts him about joke stealing. Also check out the drops by Ira Glass.
