Mark Normand and Matt Ruby’s “Schtick or Treat” is taping for TV next week

Schtick or Treat

Comedians Mark Normand and Matt Ruby have a great room here in NYC called Hot Soup (it’s Lunch!). They also run a yearly fun show called Schtick or Treat that’s been held in the city for the last 8 years. It’s a fun Halloween show with a fun premise… comedians dress up as their favorite comedians and perform some of their material in character as that comedian.

For the show’s 9th year, they’re ramping the fun up with a TV taping of the show for comedy streaming company Seeso. Additionally, the audio of the show will be available on Audible.com. So, if there were ever a time to see this show, this upcoming Monday, June 27th would be that time.

Right now they have epic sets scheduled from comedians performing as Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, Woody Allen, Mitch Hedberg, Pee-Wee Herman, Don Rickles, Ray Romany, Dane Cook, Joan Rivers, and Aziz Ansari. Line ’em up!

Furthermore, there’ll be a regularly scheduled October show in addition to this one. That makes two for the price of one. The show is free, all you have to do is RSVP here and get in line at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn at 7pm.
