Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and a quarantined Steve Martin appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Weird talk show appearances have become normalized over the last 2 years. Things can change at the drop of a bucket thanks to COVID. Further evidence of this happened on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.

Kimmel invited Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez on the show to promote Only Murders in the Building. Well, sort of. Short and Gomez appeared, then when asked where Steve was, Short opened up the briefcase he had, revealing Steve Martin on an iPad. Turns out, he was getting over COVID and still had to be masked in front of an audience. So he decided to just Zoom instead. It made for a pretty fun bit. And we also got to hear about Brittany Spears’ wedding and how Martin Short reacted to Jimmy getting COVID. (Note: It involves Six Flags).
