Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne to star in Amazon animated series, “The Hospital”

Over the weekend, Natasha Lyonne hosted Saturday Night Live, during which Maya Rudolph made a guest appearance in her monologue. Well, it looks like the duo have also been working on another project.
Today, Amazon prime announced the new animated series, The Hospital. According to TV Insider, The Hospital “follows alien best friends Dr. Sleech (Lee) and Dr. Klak (Palmer), two intergalactically renowned surgeons who must navigate anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. Together, they risk their careers to take on a remarkable case, one that might put existence itself in jeopardy.”
The series features an all-star cast including Rudolph and Lyonne – who also executive produce it – as well as Keke Palmer, Greta Lee, Kieran Culkin, and Sam Smith.
“Working with Animal Pictures, Amazon Studios, and Titmouse to create a show that prominently features unsexy alien sex has been one of the best experiences of my life,” says cre Dunlap, who previously worked as a story editor on the TBS comedy series Miracle Workers.
