Metalocalypse is looking for your assistance. The long-running animated series and its mastermind Brendon Small, are looking to give the series the proper send off it deserves. Small and co are launching a campaign for the show to get a finale. The campaign, dubbed Metalocalypse Now, is an open call for the show’s fans to convince Adult Swim and Hulu to finance Metalocalypse: The Army of The Doomstar: The Final Chapter.
If you’d like to pledge your support, sign a change.org petition to get the networks to fund the project, particularly Hulu who owns streaming rights to Adult Swim programming. Adult Swim previously didn’t agree to run the grand finale of the show because it was too expensive. Some high-level fans of the show have already weighed in on pledging support including Metallica, Anthrax, and (why not), Luke Skywalker
The full rundown of everything can be found at metalocalypsenow.com. There you can read the manifest, sign the petition, grab social media icons, and if snail mail is your thing, the mailing address of Hulu where you can ship some guitar picks.
Finally, at the end of this week on October 30th. The crew is having a rally and costume contest at the Hulu headquarters. It’s go time! #MetalocalypseNow
