For the past few months, Michael Che has been characteristically teasing news about an upcoming series he did for HBO Max on his Instagram page. Now, the cat is officially out of the bag, as we have our first look at the series.
The series, titled That Damn Michael Che, “uses sketches and vignettes to illustrate what it feels like to experience various every-day situations including racial profiling, unemployment, falling in love and more, from Michael’s perspective.”
Joining Che for the series is Cecily Strong, Heidi Gardner, Colin Quinn, Ellen Cleghorne and Colin Jost, plus guest stars Omari Hardwick, Geoffrey Owens, Godfrey, Billy Porter, and Method Man. The series is produced by Che, Lorne Michaels, Erin Doyle, and Oz Rodriguez.
That Damn Michael Che hits HBO Max on May 6th.
