When a comedian, or band, or any talent for that matter decides its time to hit the road they often focus on markets that have the most impact for them. Wheter that be a densly populated one, or perhaps one where they’ve noticed a sizeable fanbase. No matter how tour routing is determined, not many people prioritize Alaska. However, there are people that enjoy traveling all the way up to Alaska whether that be because they want to see the state, visit all 50, or just plain are into the idea of tapping into the audience.
Earlier this year, Mike Cannon decided to travel up there to perform some stand-up comedy shows. Rather than just going, he took one of TLB’s podcast super-producers Nicole Lyons (Here’s The Scenario, YKWD) with him to document the experience. Because if it wasn’t recorded for the internet it didn’t happen, amiright?
In episode one of Mike Cannon’s Alaska we witnessed the travel time it took to get there, Mike’s meeting up with locals, eating reindeer, learning that the hotel he’s staying in is haunted and trying to electrocute him, and generally learning about the indigenous animals that might kill him, enjoy.
