Mike Schur – the man behind some of the best sitcoms to come out of the last 15 years that includes The Office, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, and The Good Place – has a new show in the works.
Schur has partnered up with author/journalist Shea Serrano for a new family series based on Serrano’s life. And the show is currently being developed at a a rather unexpected place: IMDb TV. The series, titled Primo and originally announced as being in development at ABC back in 2017, is described as “a coming-of-age story about a Mexican-American teenager balancing cultural norms, college aspirations, societal expectations and the hectic home life of being raised by his single mom and five uncles.“
IMDb TV, which is an ad-free streaming service, announced a whole bunch of new programming yesterday including Blessed and Highly Favored, Greek Candy, The Fed, and The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, PA.
