We all know Miranda Lambert is a country music star, but was anyone aware of her comedy skills? Lambert’s last music video “Something Bad About To Happen” starring Carrie Underwood alluded to the fact that Lambert might be looking into the film industry. The music video begins with a preview warning and portrays Underwood and Lambert getting themselves into a bit of trouble after stealing some money. Apparently Lambert and Trey Fanjoy, her music video director, are working with the screenwriter Cindy McCreery on a female comedy script entitled Something In The Water. The film is shaping up to be pretty interesting and the word is that Lambert might even be cast to play one of the films five women who compete in a bass fishing competition. According to CMT News, director Fanjoy expects the film to be a mix of Bridesmaids and Steel Magnolias. Fanjoy has been directing Lambert’s video’s for the last ten years ever since they worked together on her debut video “Me and Charlie Talking.” The project is still in it’s early stages, but it will hopefully be on a roll soon. Lambert’s emergence onto the silver screen as a writer is definitely new, but she has definitely acted before. In 2012 Lambert portrayed a rape victim on an episode of Law and Order: SVU. Who knows what to expect from the tough, witty, country singer, but dang are we excited to see what she’s got as a video artist.
