Natasha Leggero inks stand-up and pilot deal with Comedy Central

January 17, 2014      Phil Rothermich      Natasha Leggero, News, Television

Natasha LeggeroComedy Central has agreed to produce a stand-up special for Natasha Leggero and executive produced by the Comedy Central queen as well. I say “Comedy Central queen” because she has recently been killing it for them. She is the voice of Ethel on Brickleberry, a guest panelist on @midnight, and she destroyed at Comedy Central Roast of James Franco. In other words, it makes sense that Comedy Central is throwing another stand-up special her way, not only has she earned it but she’s also flat-out hilarious. Her special is set to shoot in April at the Wilbur in Boston.

In other Leggero news, the network also ordered a pilot for Another Period. A show co-created and starring Leggero and Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel & Oates). The show is shot in a Victorian-era and be a reality style show following around the The Bellacourts, an absurdly rich family as the main characters Lillian and Beatrice (Leggero and Lindhome) are on a mission for fame. Red Hour (Ben Stiller’s production company) will executive produce the show with the creators as well as Jeremy Konner (Drunk History) who will also direct.
