Katt Williams has had his share of confrontational actions, from showing up hours late to shows, on stage meltdowns, challenging hecklers to naked fights, slapping a Target store employee, and a high speed tricycle chase all come to mind. But that’s been a while and he’s been pretty quiet this last year, presumably working on new material for a new special. But that special was just taped, and we guess now it’s time to cut loose again. This time Katt is accused of pulling a gun on a “heckler” at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Which, for the record, isn’t the first time Williams has been accused of pulling a gun on someone.
It appears the heckler was talking sh*t to the comedian but he wasn’t even on the stage, an argument happened and guns were shown.
Williams, 40, was at the Comedy Store on the legendary Sunset Strip around 2 a.m. Wednesday when he allegedly “brandished” the weapon during a verbal dispute, police confirmed to the Daily News. Unidentified eyewitnesses told TMZ.com that Williams was inside the club when the alleged victim started baiting the “Norbit” and “First Sunday” star with comments about his height and race. The police were called and TMZ was then on the scene, along with six cop cars. Police drew their weapons at the club to prepare for Williams to leave the comedy club but it turns out that Williams had already left.
Well, we had a long stretch of non crazy Katt Williams news, but it appears that streak is over.
