Mel Brooks revisits the past in trailer for ‘Mel Brooks: Unwrapped’

December 3, 2019      Andrew Buss      Mel Brooks, News

Mel Brooks is one of the driving force of comedic sensibilities. Period. If you line up all of his work side by side, from The Producers to Young Frankenstein to Blazing Saddles to Spaceballs and beyond, you’d realize just how responsible this man is for so much of the structure that will forever be orbiting in our comedic zeitgeist.

On December 13th, Mel Brooks takes a look back at his life and career, with an infamous 1981 documentary on him for the BBC being at the center as well as other both archival footage mixed in with new interviews. And as you watch the trailer, one thing becomes abundantly clear: the man may age, but never will he change. His energy, where he comes bursting out of the gate with this ferocious tenacity, is just as strong now as it always has been. May he never change.
