Everything is turning up Tig. And that’s not an understatement. Netflix recently released the documentary, Tig, which tells the incredible story of her search and discovery of humor and love amid devastating news. Showtime released its own doc with her entitled Knock Knock, It’s Tig Notaro. It follows the deadpan comedian across the country as she puts on a series of stand-up performances in the homes, backyards, barns and basements of her most loyal fans, with each intimate show offering the potential for epiphany or disaster. HBO is about to release her new stand-up special, Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted, premiering August 22. And now Amazon is getting in on the Tig game. The stand-up comedian will star in and co-write a semi-autobiographical comedy, which has scored a pilot order at the streaming service, alongside Oscar winner Diablo Cody (Juno). Notaro and Cody will executive produce the series alongside Louis C.K. The comedy initially was set up as a script deal at FX but recently moved to Amazon.
