Odd Future co-founder / Golf Wang clothing line designer / controversial rapper Tyler, the Creator just had his second Adult Swim show greenlit: animated series The Jellies!, which follows a family of jellyfish raising a perfectly normal 16-year-old boy.
The Jellies! comes from Tyler and fellow Odd Future member Lionel Boyce, who also worked on Tyler’s first Adult Swim show, sketch series Loiter Squad. It follows a jellyfish family and their human son, Cornell; “[w]hen Cornell learns that he was adopted at birth, he is shocked by the news and spirals out of control as he tries to ‘find himself.’”
Tyler and Boyce will voice characters on the show, along with Blake Anderson (Workaholics), Phil LaMarr (MADtv), AJ Johnson (House Party), and prolific voice actor Kevin Michael Anderson.
Tyler also composed the show’s score, of course, which he’ll debut later this week at the Cartoon Network upfronts.
The Jellies! premieres later this summer on Adult Swim.
