The Nick DiPaolo and Artie Lange radio show is happening

September 29, 2011      Matt      Artie Lange, News, Nick DiPaolo, Radio

There’s been a lot of rumblings about Artie Lange and his return to radio the last few months. Earlier this week during an appearance on Marc Maron’s podcast WTF? which Lange and friend/co-host Nick DiPaolo revealed that they will indeed launch The Nick and Artie Show. A sports-themed talk show similar to the format the two did while filling in for shows on FOX Sports Radio. But as the duo pointed out on Maron’s podcast, by the time their show airs in the day most people will have their fill of sports, so topics will toward whatever other topics they plan on talking about that day and not entirely be about sports.

Deadline reports the pair are finalizing a 3-year, “high six-figures” deal for the show, which will air weeknights from 10pm – 1am ET. The duo plan to launch the show this Monday, October 3rd, taping it for broadcast on DirecTV later on. They also report the pair hope to syndicate the show through 20-30 markets via terrestrial radio. Right now, the show is not tied to any satellite radio and will live at terrestrial radio.
