He has returned. With every appearance of Paul Rudd on a show hosted by Conan O’Brien, the people rejoice. All the fighting in the world stops, for those brief two segments, and everything seems okay. Because last night, within those brief two segments, everybody is sitting on the edge of their seats in anticipation for it. Mac and Me.
Paul Rudd going on Conan is sort of like when David Letterman would have comedian Jay West on the show around the holidays to tell The Lone Ranger story. For those unfamiliar, in the last 15 years every time Paul Rudd goes on a show hosted by Conan O’Brien, he brings along a clip, like most guests do when they have something to promote. Unlike those guests, however, his clip is not from his actual project but actually a clip of a young boy in a wheel chair falling into a lake from the 1980’s atrocity that is Mac and Me.
Since 2004, he has without fail brought this clip with him for every appearance, with Conan even occasionally going right into the bit and asking him to promise it’s an actual clip. Below are a few of those best moments.
