Paul Scheer and June Diane Raphael improvised sitcom “A Lot” in the works at CBS

Paul Scheer and June Diane Raphael have a new improv series in the works at CBS.

The multi-cam series A Lot – which is created by Marta Kaufman – follows “a couple in their late 30s who pour their life savings into their biggest business endeavor yet: building a housing development on a defunct studio lot. But these house flippers get more than they bargained for when their new project becomes a nightmare.”

Unlike most conventional multi-cam sitcoms, however, this series is entirely improvised. As a result, a proof-of-concept pilot has already been shot. The pilot is currently being considered for a fall 2023 slot.
