The pitchman, Nick Thune is selling some Hondas

June 28, 2014      Matt Kleinschmidt      News, Video

Nick Thune and Honda

It’s not uncommon to see celebs in commercials hocking wares. A familiar face or voice plugging something gets us all warm and fuzzy and related us to the product. Nick Thune once offered up some candid talk about PF Flyers and now he’s doing the same for Honda’s line of Fit-brand cars. That’s right, Thune is the spokesperson for cars in a series of fun and quirky ads that are currently running on your television box.

On a recent appearance on the Down With Joe DeRosa podcast, Thune discussed some elements of the commercials, including a conversation he had with his father about liking the brands you’re promoting. Thune also shared a funny anecdote that detailed part of his compensation for appearing in these commercials was Honda outfitting him with a new truck. One he was promptly rear-ended in by another car just a day after he picked up the ride from the dealer. At the time of the podcast, it had been in the shop for two weeks and he’s yet to drive his prize.

Let’s watch some clips.
