Punchline Magazine Is Dead…Long Live LaughSpin

 July 15, 2011      Matt      News

Punchline Magazine is dead… but don’t worry, it’s only really gone in name, not spirit.

The web magazine has spent the last year or so revamping the website with a new layout and adding some new features. Now, after officially announcing the switch about a week ago, the flip was switched last night. Why the reason for the name change and not just an updated website?

Editor-in-Chief Dylan Gadino put it like this, “as much as I love the name ‘Punchline Magazine,’ it was time for a change. I wanted a new name– something wholly singular, fun and appropriate. I also wanted to lose ‘magazine,’ since, in these ever-evolving technological times, that word is quickly losing its value. It also might not best explain some of the other comedy endeavors we have planned.”

And by other endeavors, Gadino means they have a new parent company in Salient Media an LA-based comedy production, distribution, and marketing outfit. As well as a record label that will probably release some really bitchin’ comedy albums in the very near future.

So update your RSS feeds, bookmarks, or any other way you get to the website and continue reading. www.laughspin.com

Drop Gadino a line at his fancy new email address dylan@laughspin.com and wish him good luck on the new digs. He’s good people, and has a fine head of hair.
