There’s no question that director Quentin Tarantino is a student of film. Having a love for the art so deep that he looks and thinks of things unlike most people do. Yesterday he was the guest on Joe Rogan’s podcast and the two get onto the topic of Bill Murray films and Chevy Chase films.
The acclaimed director makes a really great point about the difference in the film characters the two comedy titans take on. Even though Murray tends to be the more critically beloved of the two comedy titans, Tarantino argues that Murray’s characters tend to have a redemption arch to them while Chase’s do not, making them more interesting to him.
