Amy Schumer sure doesn’t forget her friends. On the heels of her rising success, Amy Schumer is throwing her star power behind another fellow New York comedienne, Rachel Feinstein. Schumer is executive-producing a new Comedy Central pilot that will feature Feinstein in the captain’s chair. The show, which is currently untitled will be a “field-driven sketch show that focuses on Feinstein out on the street using her social experiments and character-based comedy to explore and skewer gender, class and stereotypical issues in sketch and character-driven pieces.” Feinstein will also executive produce the show.
If you’re unfamiliar with Feinstein, check out her 2011 stand-up album, Thug Tears. She’s also starred on Inside Amy Schumer and was a co-headliner with Schumer on the 2012 co-headlining comedy show Women Who Kill. Feinstein was also a finalist on season 7 of Last Comic Standing and starred in two Comedy Central half-hour specials.
