Ray Romano has joined the cast of Made for Love, which is set to debut on the new HBO Max streaming service when it launches next spring.
The story of Made for Love follows a woman named Hazel who manages to break away from her overbearing, unstable husband and start a new life on her own. As she embarks on this new life, she discovers that her estranged husband has implanted a monitoring device called the Made for Love, which allows her estranged husband to keep tabs on her every movement.
Romano plays her father, a widower and retired con man who dismisses relationships so much that he’s shut himself out from the world and retreated to a remote ranch with his synthetic sex doll Dianne. When Hazel shows up at his door, fearing for her life, he has to confront what he fears most.
Made for Love is based off of a novel by Alyssa Nutting and has been adapted by Patrick Somerville, who also will serve as show runner for the show.
