Don’t Beat Around The Bush: Songs That Hit The Spot is refreshing. And so much fun! These two Whores are southern bred, but NYC-based Marie Cecile Anderson and Katy Frame. The duo’s dirty country tunes have been featured on Gotham Comedy Live, IFC, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, Nerve.com, PBS, BUST Magazine, IAF.tv, Glamour Magazine, MTV’s Guy Code blog, CBS’s The Doctors, and the Yahoo! web show Mansome.
Anderson and Frame even spent two years opening for Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang, comedian Ralphie May, the Reverend Horton Heat, and while performing at the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip in South Dakota, they opened for Alice Cooper and Godsmack.

Don’t Beat Around The Bush: Songs That Hit The Spot is the Reformed Whores’ second album and it was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at the legendary RCA Studio A where stars like Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Keith Urban and Kacey Musgraves recorded and which singer Ben Folds has rented and operated for the last 13 years. Some of Nashville’s most talented musicians, such as Dave Roe Rorick (Johnny Cash’s bass player from 1992 to 2003), Jeff King (Reba McEntire’s guitar player), Mike Johnson (ACM Steel Guitar Player of the Year), and Ken Lewis (Lana Del Rey and The Civil Wars) even joined up for the Whores to create a throwback to country radio music shows…but with a very, VERY different twist.
These girls have talent and great voices for the country scene. Though they don’t sing about broken pick-up trucks and who gets the dog in a divorce, they do sing very detailed tales that we can all…relate to? What have they never experienced with a dick? “What in God’s name could that be Marie?” And so, the girls go right into the twangy sing along “Willy for a Day”. Masturbating up against a Care Bear? Yup, they sing about that too. It’s so hard to explain just how great this album is and as much as I’d like to describe their sweet song about someone having VD, it’s best if you check it out yourself.
